Omar Ortiz is a locally known leader in the Mexican software industry. He joined Volteo in November 2017 with the firm intention of making Volteo the No. 1 for the region. As Regional VP in Latin America, he is responsible for consulting business solutions, sales, deliveries and general financial viability of the region that owns a portfolio of highly recognized corporations.

Omar started in IT at the age of 17 giving computer classes, which later led him to study the Career of Applied Mathematics and Computing at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Since then he has been certified in ITIL, Executive Sales, PMP, IT Service Management, among others.

Since 1999 he has worked as a Software Consultant for different organizations, including BMC. His highly entrepreneurial spirit led him to found his own company, BITS, in 2004.

A company that quickly built a solid reputation and became known as one of the first ServiceNow partners in the region, with a strong focus on IT service management and process automation. For 13 years, BITS successfully served more than 60 clients in Latin America.

In November 2017, Volteo announced a definitive agreement to acquire BITS México. This strategic acquisition expanded Volteo's ability to deliver innovative solutions to ServiceNow business customers throughout the region, while consolidating its position as one of the most experienced and capable ServiceNow partners in Latin America and around the world.
