How To Choose Your Ideal ServiceNow Partner
You have already decided to go for ServiceNow as a process digitalization platform. Now you just need to choose a partner to help you get the most out of your investment.
As you already know, with the ServiceNow modules, you can automate processes in multiple departments, IT, HR, customer service, etc. And thanks to the App Engine module, you can digitize the workflows of any department and make customized applications.
The platform's wide range of options is a great advantage, but it also has a big drawback. Being such a large platform, we can get lost in a maze of digitization if we are not well advised. Hence the need to choose a certified partner.
Type of ServiceNow Partners
ServiceNow segments its partners like any software vendor based on their certifications and specialties. There are three categories, from least to most important:
1. Specialist: awarded to partners specializing in 1 or 2 business units.
2. Premier: awarded to partners who specialize in 3 or 4 business units and have proven to have a good presence in their region.
3. Elite: awarded to partners specializing in 5 or more business units and with a solid international presence.
However, it is not the only thing to consider while selecting a partner; it is also crucial to examine the number and quantity of qualifications they have. However, this isn't necessarily a distinguishing feature these days.
Another element that will indicate more outstanding expertise and differentiation are the recognitions with which ServiceNow rewards partners that have proven to excel in the 4 main areas: IT Workflows, Customer Workflows, Employee workflows, and Now Platform.
Find a Partner, Not a Supplier.
Once we know all the elements that differentiate one partner from another, we can delve into other factors. Nowadays, many software vendors fall by the wayside in their customer relationships. They implement the requested solution but cannot follow up on it.
Therefore, beyond quantifiable variables such as certifications, there must be a good connection between partner and customer. Establish sessions with all those partners that technically comply with the certificates and get to know the professionals you will be working with in depth. For the project to be successful, you must share values and business objectives with the partner. For example, if for a partner implementing as fast as possible is one of their objectives, you are not interested in working with them.
Choose a partner who will be a partner, who will guide you and provide solutions, not one who is only focused on delivering everything you ask for without contributing anything to the conversation rather than being a simple executor.
Other variables
When a digitization project is completed, we must be sure that we have the necessary tools to get the most out of the platform; taking into account that it is important to put yourself in the hands of partners who, in addition to implementation certificates, are authorized by ServiceNow to carry out official platform training.
Talent management is another variable we are interested in studying. Due to the shortage of IT professionals, it can be interesting to bet on partners exclusively dedicated to ServiceNow technology and committed to generating their own talent, thanks to internal training plans. This will ensure that the partner consistently provides certified resources in all the projects we carry out with the platform.
