ServiceNow San Diego Release Features

Industry leading platforms, such as ServiceNow, help organizations capitalize on cutting-edge tools and innovations to aid in meeting the organization's I.T. goals. One of the biggest priorities to keeping a company’s technological edge, is updating their tools and platforms to ensure they are kept running smoothly.


ServiceNow releases two updates per year and each of these updates includes new or enhanced functionality. While these updates are necessary to keeping the platform current (and the organization able to capitalize on new functionality), having a partner well versed in facilitating these upgrades, and partnering with the organization for regression testing, ensures the upgrades go smoothly with little to no service interruption.


During the most current release, ServiceNow presents its most recent version SAN DIEGO, which allows greater empowerment to organizations through the delivery of digital workflows.


New UI Next Experience


One of the biggest changes in the San Diego release is the Next Experience User Interface. The new interface is now transformed into a next-generation, intuitive and personalized experience to boost productivity, improve engagement, and gain first-hand insights on the Now Platform.


Next Experience unified navigation delivers the necessary tools to navigate between the most used elements in your instance, displayed in a panel while you can also set preferences for different notifications. Solve problems faster since everything you need will now be in one place, thus improving your productivity. You will simplify the way you work with your teams by offering them information and resources based on the context, thus offering them attractive experiences and working intelligently and quickly, improving the efficiency of work teams. Excellence in this technology will translate into a better experience, efficiency and productivity for your organization.

 

Enhanced UI Builder


The ServiceNow UI Builder app is a non-code capable web UI builder, typically used to create pages for configurable workspaces and portals generated by App Engine Studio, or custom web experiences with Next Experience Components and custom web components. UI Builder was improved and updated in the San Diego release.


 UI Builder highlights being enhanced by the San Diego release include:

·     Repeat a component or multiple components using repeaters.

·     Use a wide range of functions and logical operands to configure components.

·     Use the low-code JSON editor to configure component properties.

·     Opt for a new, better-performing layout system to set up CSS Flexbox or Grid layouts without editing code.

·     Customize the style of the components without changing the CSS code.

 

New and improved Platform components


You'll be able to create enhanced user interface experiences with a pre-built base system or custom components. Among the most notable improvements are:

·     Use common web component patterns and principles, such as a JavaScript framework, immutable data, and simple action handlers.

·     Reuse components across multiple user interfaces to create a cohesive experience for your end users.
